Today is moving day of sorts at IAAPA headquarters here in Alexandria, Virginia. For the past week or so, our main corridor on the first floor has been transforming into Cardboard Cavern as we compile all the materials we need to ship down to Orlando for IAAPA Attractions Expo 2008.
Attractions Expo is such a huge event (it is, after all, the largest trade show in our industry by a wide, wide margin), it kinda hangs there off in the distance all year. Even while we plan for all of our other big shows and conferences and gatherings, there's always some job or another that needs doing for Expo at the same time. One of the things I'm continually amazed at in my four years with the association is how few people pull off such a massive task.
With moving day upon us, though, the excitement and anticipation becomes palpable. We'll be following that big ol' truck down to Florida in just a few days now. On a plane, thankfully, and not in a semi trailer.
Can't wait!
Thanks to my friend and colleague Deana Martin for taking these photos of the truck on her fancy new cell phone.
